Stock Fragrance Discovery Set

This discovery set was well worth the purchase - so many times, fragrances I have high hopes for aren’t at all what I was looking for, and I know I likely miss out on potential favorites I would simply never think to try, so this is a wonderful way to save money and find unexpected gems. Every blotter card came carefully packaged, and while I am still working my way through the set (didn’t want to go noseblind by sniffing dozens of oils in one sitting), I feel so much more confident spending money on crafting samples because of this set: several fragrances weren’t what I hoped for and I’ll be glad to not have a bottle haunting my shelves, while some fragrances I wasn’t expecting to like so much were absolutely stunning, and other fragrances were exactly what I hoped for and more. So far, Copabanana and Aphrodisiac are standout favorites for me, and I also really enjoy Eau de Rose, Provençal, and Honey Milk. As someone who has ordered from quite a few fragrance oil companies, both the well-known, large, affordable ones and more niche high-end places, I think Stock has very interesting and well-balanced fragrances, and their takes on more “common” scent notes are unique (eg, Wild Peach wasn’t for me but was a fascinating interpretation of peach that leaned much more into clean, fresh, bright notes than warm juicy summer notes, and Provençal is such a uniquely warm and sunlit lavender scent that doesn’t smell sleepy or cloying at all). This set is an amazing entry point, and it distinguishes this brand from other oil vendors. I think anyone who is serious should start here, but understand exactly what you are receiving. Nothing is perfect, but you have zero expectations, it's hard to be disappointed right? I blind buy cologne. And I have not missed yet in my 36 bottle collection.

So you get a bunch of cards. I got 42. We loved 27/42. 8/42 were designated as candle scents in our opinion. 7/42 were a no go. I already knew what I would like, but you need to know what it smells like. I think only 3-4 I hoped I'd love, but, it's all good.

I started making fragrances a few months ago because I love I have a lot of them, and I think I can make what I like. I did the same with beer and food. Their blends are amazing. I've order from 3 companies and I have a decent stash of oil, but these blends are unmatched.

Order the cards if you're serious about fragrances, if not, pick what you like. I think if you know what you like you can't miss. I think I'll just use it for myself for now and family, because it's so cool.

I am untrained with no business, I just enjoy smelling good, and making people smell good, so this company is going to get a lot of my business.

The discovery set gave me exactly what I needed as a brand founder developing a signature scent. Smelled through the full kit and came away with clear direction — Bazaar and Sandstone were standouts, both warm and lasting. Cuba was a pleasant surprise, well-crafted and sophisticated. Ambres Larmes and Plant-Based Cabane didn't land for my specific brief but that's the whole point of sampling before committing.

Nathan was knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. The kit is worth it for anyone serious about finding their signature scent or building a product line. You leave with real data, not just a purchase.
