We've spent decades creating custom fragrances in the professional fragrance industry. Whether you want a technical modification to one of our existing oils or an original signature fragrance for your brand, we can help β and the result is yours, exclusively.
In order to provide the best possible experience (and results), our custom design services are by request and we only partner with clients on select projects.
Private Stock is our fragrance customization service. Using any existing fragrance (or fragrances) from our current collection as a starting point, we can customize the formula to your exact specifications. Once approved, the oil is available exclusively to you.
Bespoke Fragrance is our custom fragrance design and creation service. Using any inspiration, we will create a new fragrance formula based on your ideas. Once approved, the fragrance is available exclusively to you. No dupes. No types. No exceptions.

How does custom fragrance design work?
It starts with a consultation to discuss your project and confirm it's a good fit; if you proceed, your consultation fee is credited toward the project. From there you reserve your place, submit a brief, and we formulate and present submissions until you approve. You bring the inspiration and direction; the perfumer makes the creative and technical calls.
What's the difference between Private Stock and Bespoke?
Private Stock customizes a fragrance we already make (from $2,500 per fragrance) β faster and lower-cost. Bespoke creates an original fragrance from scratch (from $10,000 per fragrance). Both begin with a consultation, and the consultation fee is credited toward your project. Not sure which fits? Book a consultation.
Do I choose the ingredients?
No β and that's the point. Bespoke means the result is made for you, not chosen by you. You bring the vision and context; the perfumer makes the creative and technical calls. That's how you end up with a fragrance that's genuinely yours.
Do we have to meet in person, or can projects be done remotely?
No β meeting in person isn't required. We work with clients around the world and ship samples anywhere; consultations and reviews happen by phone or video.
How long does a custom fragrance project take?
Every project is unique, but a Bespoke fragrance typically takes at least six months from first consultation to an approved formula. Private Stock is usually faster, depending on our current project load.
Do I own the formula?
No β we don't transfer or disclose our formulas (this is industry standard). You get exclusive access to the finished oil: it's made only for you, available to order anytime through a private, password-protected link.
Can you recreate or match an existing fragrance?
No β we don't take on duplication, type, twist, or gimmick projects. Everything we create is original. You're welcome to share inspiration and references to guide the direction, but we won't copy another fragrance.
Can you formulate a custom fragrance to a specific certification or standard?
Absolutely β certification and compliance targets are part of the brief. Tell us what you need (EPA Safer Choice, IFRA, plant-based/ISO 9235, Clean at Sephora, retailer or regional standards) and we formulate to it. See our full certification list.
Is my project confidential?
Yes. All project information is treated as confidential, and we're happy to sign an NDA if you'd like one.
What do I need to provide to get started?
Nothing to prepare in advance β just bring your ideas. We'll talk through them in the consultation to determine whether the project is a good fit, and take it from there.
How much does the finished oil cost?
The oil budget is set by you before we begin formulating. For Private Stock, it starts at the current price of the oil you're customizing and can go up from there; for Bespoke, you set the budget. Our Fragrance Oil Calculator can help you plan.
Once my formula is approved, what are the production lead times?
Standard production lead time is 10β14 business days, subject to raw-material availability.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
All custom oils are subject to production minimums, which vary by formula. If a run is larger than you need right away, we can hold the extra in storage and ship it as you go.
Can I convert an existing Stock Fragrance oil into water-soluble or encapsulated format?
Yes for water-soluble (by special order, subject to MOQs, up to 12-week lead time). For encapsulation, we work with a manufacturing partner who handles encapsulation exclusively on our formulas β third-party fragrances are not converted.
Do you offer samples for the specialty services?
Water-soluble and encapsulated fragrances are produced by special order and are subject to production minimums. We don't sample these formats separately β the underlying fragrance oil is available as a 1 oz sample in standard format, then converted on order.
What's HVAC integration and how does it differ from a cold-air diffuser?
HVAC integration installs fragrance delivery into a building's existing HVAC ductwork, scenting an entire space through the central air system. Cold-air diffusers are standalone units for smaller rooms or zones. We design both, but they solve different problems β book a consultation if you're not sure which is right.
