All Stock Fragrance formulations are IFRA compliant. IFRA β the International Fragrance Association β is the global governing body for fragrance safety; its Standards set maximum recommended usage levels for fragrance materials based on ingredient composition, product type, and how a product is realistically used. We currently formulate to the IFRA 51st Amendment (announced June 30, 2023).
IFRA limits are determined by the total level of allergens in the formula and the amount of skin contact. Because every limit is formula-specific, mixing or modifying an oil voids our documentation. IFRA documentation is posted on every fragrance page and can be viewed or downloaded. Outside of IFRA, your final dosage comes down to your preference and how much fragrance your base or product can hold. When a product could fit more than one category, use the most restrictive. For the full breakdown of all 12 IFRA categories and how to apply them, read our Understanding the IFRA 51st Amendment guide.

Plan your supply so production never waits on fragrance.

Our general rule of thumb is to order at least a 6-month supply of fragrance oil and place re-orders 4β6 weeks before running out. For orders over 50 lbs, we'll typically run a production batch just for your order. Standard production lead time is 10β14 business days. Summer (MayβSeptember) is the busiest time for oil production, so you may see longer lead times then.
Standard shelf life is 12 months from production, though oils typically last much longer when stored properly β see our blog on oxidation & storage and getting the most out of your fragrance oils.

Always stay within IFRA limits. If your scent strength needs improvement, consider adjusting your base formulation or contact us to customize your fragrance for better performance at lower dosages.

Total oil needed is based on dosage, container size, and number of units β and don't forget a little extra for waste.
