Meet the feminine side of vetiver. We all know vetiver as a rich, dark scent that dominates masculine fragrances. But what about the softer, more sensual side of this luxurious material? Pink Vetiver is a tribute to the Japanese tradition of Hanami, built around an intoxicating blend inspired by the pastel hues of cherry blossom watercolor paintings.

    • Acceleration: Yes
    • Deceleration: No
    • Ricing: No
    • Separation: No
    • Discoloration: No
    • Behavior Notes: Tested at 3%. Fragrance accelerated fairly quickly, but kept a creamy texture and poured smoothly into my mold when stirred in at a light trace. Bars discolored to a cream color and have a strong scent retention. I’d go down to a 2-2.5% use rate.

Tested by Creamy Obsession Soap. The testing recipe consisted of olive oil, coconut oil, lard, sunflower oil, castor oil, shea butter, mango butter, and cocoa butter. A 1.8:1 water to lye ratio was used, as well as a 5% superfat. All tests were conducted at room temperature, with a range of 85°F to 95°F Every small batch was brought to an emulsion, and then the fragrances were stirred in by hand and watched over a period of time while comparing to an unscented control poured from the same batch. After setting up, the bars were then CPOP’ed in their individual silicone molds in the oven at 170°F for 5 minutes to ensure a full gel. Separate popsicle sticks and pipettes were used for each individual fragrance to avoid any cross contamination.

    • Acceleration: Mild
    • Separation: None
    • Discoloration: None
    • Behavior Notes: Very easy to work with
    • Scent strength: Strong at 2.0%

Testing done by @elysianacres at temperatures between 75-85 °F, brought batter to emulsification before hand-stirring in fragrance, using 10% Castor Oil, 20% Coconut Oil, 35% Olive Oil Pomace, 35% Lard, Distilled water Lye solution at 33%, 5% Superfat

With all due respect to the Rose...

This is what a rose should smell like. Though I love the smell of fresh cut roses this scent (at least to my nose) has a whisper of rose and the rest just pure beauty. Floral but not too strong. This scent feels like it was made to wear for a special occasion (evening) or for a special date night. I just love this one!

Love! Anything “cherry blossom-esque” is up my alley!

I love this scent, it’s beautiful (like all the others from stock!) I cannot describe these LOL I am bad at describing fragrances- It’s floral, sharp (not in a bad way) I don’t like Vetiver usually, at least I should say I don’t like pure Vetiver essential oil (too Smokey for me) but I think it’s the sharpness I’m smelling in this blend and it makes it addictive, you want to keep sniffing.

Anyways- I did use it in cold process soap. Like the others, I found it would not behave in a way that would be good for swirling and I expected this after my previous experiences lol. Which is fine, I made a lovely striped soap! I’m quite pleased with it. It was fluid enough to pour into the mold easily and leveled, and set up fast! I just cut the loaf now and the scent is there but light! I used 1oz in around 2lbs of soap.

Thank you, Cecile! I am excited to continue using these scents and for continued business with your company! Everything you make is liquid gold- I’m so happy to be able to get such unique and luxurious scents for my soap I am so excited to hear what my customers think!!

    Nice, but not my favorite.

I do love the cherry blossom in this and makes a lovely perfume my customers enjoy.
