Water-soluble fragrance β
Patented micro-emulsion conversion of our oils into clear, stable concentrates for water-based products.
Advanced microencapsulation technology in slurry or dry powder formats β for products that need scent to last days or weeks, not hours.

Microencapsulation creates a protective barrier around fragrance oils, forming tiny capsules that preserve scent integrity until the moment of release. These capsules can be engineered to respond to moisture, friction, pH, or temperature β ensuring the fragrance performs exactly when and where it's intended.
We work with a specialized manufacturing partner who performs microencapsulation exclusively for our fragrance oils and formulas. We do not encapsulate third-party fragrances. Our encapsulated scents are designed to be long-lasting, touch-release, and stable across aqueous and dry formats.
Three technical properties that change what a fragrance can do inside a finished product.
Fragrance molecules are protected from evaporation and degradation, making scents last significantly longer. Microencapsulated scents release gradually when the capsule shell is broken through rubbing, warmth, or moisture exposure.
Time-release effect delivers consistent scent throughout the day β perfect for products requiring extended customer experience.
Protection from heat, air, light, and other environmental factors ensures fragrance remains fresh and effective over time.
Where encapsulated fragrance changes the product experience.

Body lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and skincare with long-lasting fragrance that releases through skin contact and warmth.

Surface cleaners, floor care, and air fresheners with sustained scent release over time, not just a moment of fragrance at use.

Laundry detergents, fabric softeners, and dryer sheets that keep clothes fresh for days through friction-triggered release.

Perfumes, body sprays, and beauty products with enhanced scent performance and extended dry-down.
Fragrance microencapsulation is a process where fragrance molecules are enclosed in tiny biodegradable capsules. These capsules protect the fragrance and release it gradually over time when triggered by friction, heat, or moisture.
It depends on the product form. Powder can be used for any dry product (detergents, cleaners, dry shampoo, etc.), while slurry is usually used for liquid applications. The final type and blend depend on your desired performance and application.
Minimums vary by type of capsule and start at 100 lbs of encapsulated product. Once the fragrance oil is on hand, lead times are 4β6 weeks for encapsulation.
No β encapsulation impacts how the fragrance is delivered, not its character. The capsules protect the fragrance molecules until they are released (by friction, water, pH, etc.). Encapsulation only affects performance β bloom and longevity β not how the fragrance smells.
No β all certifications have to be re-checked for the encapsulated version. The certifications shown on our product pages apply to the oil only.
No, we only encapsulate Stock Fragrance's proprietary fragrance oils and formulas. Our manufacturing partner works exclusively with our formulations to ensure quality and performance standards.
Microencapsulated fragrances can last significantly longer than traditional fragrances β often days or even weeks depending on the application. The controlled release mechanism ensures consistent scent over an extended period.
Yes. Our microencapsulation technology uses biodegradable and non-toxic materials. The capsules break down naturally and are safe for use in personal care, home care, and cosmetic products.
Microencapsulation is ideal for laundry detergents, fabric softeners, body lotions, shampoos, surface cleaners, air fresheners, and any product where long-lasting fragrance is desired.
